Kevätpäivätassaus - Spring Equinox

Nui. Siitä. Huomatkaaha ajakohtane viittaus irtoovaa tulppaa vennees...
Tähä aikaa vuotta pittää imuroija auto, ko aurinko paistaa mut imur ei viel uppoo muttaa. Kävellä hankikannol (eile illal jopa juostii nuoremma koira kans pitki hankiloi). Kuunnella joks tetrit pulputtaat jossakii lähel (sitä varte pittää kyl nousta aikasii aamul, ko sillo meno on villeimmillää). Iltasil kuunnella ko jäät paukkuut ja volisoot, ja kahella näkkyyks Laatoka pääl valloi, vel venäläisel on monest tähä aikaa ammuntaharjotukset ja sit ne maalipallot näkkyyt tänne meile ast, punasii valopalloloi kaako suunnas.

My favourite song to celebrate light and spring.
This time of year is perfect to vacuum the car. The yard is still frozen so the vacuum doesn't sink in mud and the sun is shining. The crust on the surface of the snow is so hard it carries a person so last night we ran all around on it with the younger dog. It's also time to listen for the black grouse, they gather together for their mating ceremonies, they dance and make recognizable mating calls. (For that you'd need to wake up early, though.) In the evenings the ice on the lake bangs and booms and moans - a sound so strong it scares an ignorant listener - and check the southeast sky to see if the Russians have started their annual practices. They haul balloons over Lake Ladoga in March every year and shoot at them, and the well-lit red balloons are clearly visible from over here. (Yes, sometimes I can see a piece of Russia from my house. Ha ha. That's a Palin-joke, that is.)
