We concentrated on ticket sales and sold a lot, the visitor numbers were great.

Someone sent me a gift card to the Virkkukoukkunen shop and I used it now.

I have a large collection of pictures of rainy weather from this summer. It was raining when I took this one, too - I was going for a dogwalk and looked outside and thought how nice it looked and how great it was that it didn't rain for a change, only it did anyway. I'm not sure if you know your Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as well as I do, but there's a character Rob McKenna for whom I have endless sympathy.



Sit ko millo on vähä aikaa satamatta ni perhosii on vaik kui. Neitoperhosii erityisest ja amiraalitkii ilmestyit. Se on kiva.

On the rare occasions when it's not raining: there are lots of butterflies. Which is nice.

Kirjontaa! Ko ei oo noita harrastuksii - Embroidery! After all I have such few hobbies

Nii, miehä oon tok kirjont aikasemmikii, alotin tuollasest helpost niiko Throri kartast.

I have embroidered before. Decided to start with something easy at the time, like with Thror's map.




Sittemmi on teht miel kokkeilla kirjomista uuvestaa ja mielellää helmilöi kans. Mänin sit taas kysymää Faces jot onks kukkaa näht siemenhelmii missää kaupas sellasin värisekotuksin mitkä ois täs hommas kätevii (omat olin lahjottant vuosii sit pois ko aittelin jot en mie taija näitä käyttää), ja tälläne löyty sit tännää postlaatikost. Se on tuo Katri sellane humukamu jot vot!

I have had the urge to do more ever since, preferably with beads. So once again without thinking I blurted out in Facebook if any of my friends had seen seed bead colour kits in bead shops (as I had donated my own selection years ago thinking I'd never use them). This was in the mailbox today from my friend Katri. All these beads!



Nii jot miehä välittömäst hyödynsin työsuhe-etuloitain ja hain tälläset hyllyst.

So as my job comes with some certain  benefits I immediately got these from the shelves.



Muute kuuluu aika lail tätä. Kengät on neljä euro Eccot, goretexii, kirpparilt, ja hyvä nii koska melkei voip sannoo, jot joka hito päivä ne on kastuneet koiralenkil. Otherwise this is what's going on. It rained yesterday morning, this was taken yesterday evening after dogwalk. It rains so often and much at a time that nothing dries up (except my sense of humour which resembles a bread crumb).

Sisäleikkipäivä - Indoor playing today

A miehä käin shoppaamas. Kirjontakehys, vähä pien, mut kyl sil alkuu päässää, ja tapettiliisterii. Tuumasin, jot jos viel piisaa säitä, ni joku päivä vetäsen pihal silpuks kaik kertyneet paperit mitä ei voi keräyksee laittaa ja tien papermassaa. Sit mie tien papermassahirviöitä! Jos vaa jaksan.

Iltasel sit kahtelin päivän Vueltan ja samal piirtelin taltee muutaman kuvion er kirjontakirjoist. Mut mie en niikää oo päiväkakkara orvokki ruusu -tyyppi, nii jot käin mie vähä netiskii kuvioita ehtimäs (hakusanoil "darth vader embroidery" alotin, jot silviisii). Nythä mie suunnittelen erilaisii nörtähtävvii kirjontoi kuolema varjeluksist matkijanärhee ja vaik mihi.

Went shopping yesterday, I bought an embroidery hoop which is kind of small but it'll do for starters, and some wallpaper paste flakes. I'm planning on shredding all the papers that I can't recycle. If the weather holds, I'll do it outdoors to avoid getting paper dust all over my shiny and thoroughly cleaned home (heavy sarcasm there in case you did not notice). Then I'll make some papier-mache (sorry, can't for the life of me remember the ´`and ^ marks correctly) and sculpt some monsters and stuff.

Yesterday evening I watched the Vuelta of the day and copied some embroidery patterns from books I borrowed from the library. I'm not that much of a daisy and violet and rose type, so I googled some patterns too (I started with search words "darth vader embroidery"). Now I'm planning on doing geeky embroidery from the mockingjay to the deathly hallows and whatnot.



Kesäaurinko läks johokii pilvii taakse ja minnuu väsytti. Aamul heräsin ja joi aamusumpit ja mänin takasii pötköllee, nousin puoliltpäivi. Kehitin sanankii niile, ne on "aamarit" erotukseks "päikkäreist". Sit tuntu jot voisha sitä tännää jotakii tehäkkii, ni käin sit leipomaa. Quichen tein ja pullaa, ja valkosipul-oreganosämpylöitä ja sit viel kaurakeksin. Nii, keksin. Mie luovuti erillissii keksilöihe tekemise ko ne aina turposiit toisiisa kiine kuitekii, nykysii mie mätän taikina pellille ja levitän sen yheks isoks keksiks ja sit leikkaan pizzaleikkuril sen palasiks. Hyvi toimii eikä reunat pala. Nyt mie oon syönt ihtei iha koomaa, nii jot joskoha tuota takasii sohvale.

The summer sun left us and hid behind the clouds. I was instantly tired (je suis fatiguée, remember?) so after waking up and having my morning coffee, I went back to bed and got up at noon. Didn't want to waste the day though, so I started baking and made buns, a quiche, some garlic-oregano rolls and an oatmeal cookie. Yes, "an". I got tired with making cookies which then melted into one another and started to make one big one instead. It's easy to cut it into pieces with a pizza cutter and since there's just one edge, it doesn't burn as easily. Now I've eaten myself into a coma, so I'm heading back to the sofa.
