Jooh elikkäs mie löysin sellasen ko aliexpress, ko olin ehtimäs miu uutee osamaksuluurii kuorii, sellasi mielellää nörttihenkisii. Siel yhet onkii, Tardikset, jossai vaihees ne hankin koha kerkiin. I finally found aliexpress when looking for a nice geeky case for my new monthly payment phone. There actually is a Tardis-themed one I'm going to purchase at some point. (Actually I would have wanted a case with Toothless on it, especially the one with just the eyes and snout, but there weren't any for my phone model WHICH SUCKS BIG TIME.) I also needed a new wallet for all the money I'm going to earn now that I have a few months continuous work. My old wallet was falling apart. So there. Mischief managed.




Iha vast tänä talven oon laajentant yleissivistystäi anime puolele ja siinhä nyt ei olt epäselvyyttäkkää mikä hahmo on lemppar. Löyty sit neljä taalan lompsa minkä mie pyhitän eläkesäästämissee. Toothlessii en löytänt lompsanakkaa, hö.

I watched my first anime films this winter (finally) and it was pretty predictable which character I found the most adorable. This one cost 4 dollars including postage. But didn't find a Toothless wallet either WHICH SUCKS etc. Anyway, this wallet is dedicated for my pension savings. So far it's empty.

Tatu and Patu are two anarchistic brothers who are inventors and live in Strangeville. There's a series of childrens' books about them, the movie was released last year and the dvd is now at the library. I liked it.

I'm a member of a nerdy flea market online which has improved my life a lot (I'm looking at my Police Box lunch box with love). Someone was selling Skyrim at a bargain price so naturally I went for it - I have wanted to play it for years but haven't had a console/computer that could run it until now. I got a PS3 via my brother in  the winter and then got about five Assassin's Creed games which I absolutely love. Now I can add Skyrim to the menu as well and if my friends are to be trusted (and they usually are) I will not need anything else to do for about a year.

Before Skyrim I need to finish the legendary 90s tv series Prime Suspect, though. It was available here and there in the cooperating libraries so I ordered all the episodes and now I'm nearly done, only two of the seven episodes left. Helen Mirren is great as are the other actors, from Fiennes to Capaldi. Suberb acting, great plots.

Game of Thrones & Force Awakens

Having little money means one has to learn self control in terms of yearnings and wants and desires. There by I waited peacefully biting my nails for the last episode of season 6 of Game of Thrones to be available before booking the free month from HBO. Did that, started watching the day before yesterday and finished yesterday evening. And what a season it was! So I started rewatching immediately. No spoilers - this season will be on Finnish TV in the autumn and it's well worth waiting for. I managed to dodge most of the spoilers myself, the people I facebook with are civilized intelligent human beings and it's common practise to hide all spoilers.

Then I got a SMS inviting me to collect the Force Awakens dvd from the library. With this one the time was too long to totally avoid spoilers but I don't care: it is here. Finally.

So people, cherish your libraries. They give equal opportunity to all to borrow anything from audiobooks to movies, language courses to novels. Let's keep them tidy and visit them often, so that some stupid politician in the capitol won't cut their funding totally.

Huuavei

Oikeest kyl Huawei, langato reititin, minkä tilasin nii jot saahaa kaik netit sen kautta ja niiolle kuluja alemmaks. Neljägee nyt ei mitekää tääl juhli, mut onpaha kuitekii 3G täysil tolpil, ja hyvihä tuo on piisant ko oon tosissaa sen kaheksa kautta Tohtorii Netflixist kahtont.

Well actually Huawei, 4G wireless router. I ordered it to lower our Internet costs and even though 4G is mostly unavailable, the 3G reception is good and all our gadgets now connect through this device. It has worked very well, as I said, I've watched 8 seasons of Doctor Who from Netflix.

Sen pittää olla lähel ikkunaa jot kentät piisaa, ja mie olin sit tyrkänt sen tuoho kissatyyny pääle mis siis makkaa välil kissatkii. Ei kovi kestävä ratkasu oo se.

The router needs to be close to a window and I had placed it on a pillow which is mostly used by the cats, since it's a warm place near the radiator with a view to the field. This is not a good place for a fragile gadget as any cat owner can testify.



Nii jot virkkasin sille sit tännää tuollase ilmastoijun pussukkaisen. Virtajohole jätin ja reiän.

So I crocheted this pouch today with holes for cooling. And one for the power cord.



Sit pistin sen ikkunanavvauskouku kans roikkumaa. Koukku pittää viel varmistaa pysyväks ja sen lisäks teipata piuha kii karmii, jottei se roiku tuos kissoi kiinnostaval taval. Hyvä tul, tykkään, kelpaa varsi hyväst.

And now the pouch is hanging from a window opener handle (which I'm still going to secure). The power cord will be taped to the window frame, otherwise it's too attractive to the cats. But all in all I am happy with the result.
