Sain nii hienoo lankaa kamuselt jot ehä mie ossaa sellasii käyttää. Nii jot mie pistin alpakkasilkit halepaks ja laitan kamule kohtpuolii talvelämmikkeeks.

I got really fine alpaca silk yarn from a friend. With my lifestyle it would be ruined in a day and that would be a shame, so I decided to knit a shawly thing for another friend.

January was Veganuary, people went vegan for a month. I didn't take part myself but could not help noticing a lot of delicious-looking recipes here and there. This one, black bean balls, is great. Though I decided to flatten the balls and bake them in the oven instead of frying in a pan. Basically you mix canned black beans, fresh chili, onions, some flour (a tablespoon or so), salt & pepper plus spices to your taste, a bunch of parsley (I used kale from the freezer) in a mixer to form a paste, then make the desired formations and fry or bake them for a couple of minutes on each side. Serve with whatever, they're damn good. My favourite is this combo, with french fries and mayo from the store (as I was too lazy to make my own). It's also a very versatile recipe, just go wild with it.



Käin yks päivä kirjastos muuta assiita ja kahoin jot poistokirjamyynti ol taas männeillää. Siel alahyllyl ol tää koko hito sarja, joku yli 20 ossaa, kolmel eurol. The library sells old or obsolete books about once a year and this year I got lucky. I bought this 20+ book series of world history for 2,90 euros (the price was actually 3,- but I got discount). I've wanted to own a good source for historical facts for ages - whenever I watch a historical series or a movie or read a book, I get interested in the era and want to check facts and know more. This happened just a while back when was watching the Borgias, I was trying to remember stuff about the Medicis and Machiavelli and didn't remember anything. So whenever that happens, there I am with the Internet, which, and I'm sure this will shock you, sometimes LIES. Yes! Can you believe that! But now I have a good book to go to and read more. Iz happy. Now all I need is a really good art history book and I'm covered. (Just watched the documentary of Beltracchi the forgerer, recommending it to anyone interested in art.)

Je suis fatiguée

Nii, sehä on siis ranskaa ja meinaa jot mie oon väsynt, vähä nauratti ko tää lause alko pyörii opeteltavan jot mistäs arvasit. Mie oon heitäint iha hurjaks. Miul on mänös saksa kertaus, ranska alkeet, swahili alkeihe kertaus, sit meinaan lisätä palettii viel viro alkeet, ruotsi kertaukse sekä espanja alkeet. Toistaseks on pysyneet järjestykses miu päässäi, ihme kyl, siel ko ei moni juttu järjestykses kestä. Sit välil sekottelen kuuntelemal äänikirjoi, viimeks englanniks Harry Pottereita. Kielii opiskelu on mahottoma hauskaa nykysii, siin auttaat sellaset ko Duolingo ja Memrise. Memrise puolelt voip valikoija muutakii kyl, miekii vähä taijetta ja musiikkii ja kirjoi ja historiaa ja tähtitiedettä ja kaikelaista muuta pientä. Ilmasii ovat. Ai nii ja ihmist on keränneet esimerkiks Duolingost erinäisii hauskoi lauseita, sil on Twitteris oma tilikii.

French for "I am tired". I LOLled when the sentence appeared the first time, I was like "how could you know that?" At the moment I'm refreshing my German, learning beginner's French, refreshing/learning Swahili but I'm also going to add Spanish, Estonian and (refreshing) Swedish to the mix. So far the different languages have stayed on their designated spots in my head, a bit of a surprise really, considering all that is going on there. And then I've got the audio books - I picked the Harry Potter series after the Egyptian. I can really recommend both Duolingo and Memrise, learning languages has never been this fun before. And on the Memrise side I might have just added some artsy courses as well, some music, astronomy, loads of history and literature (well, duh, since it was there). Both platforms are free, by the way. Some of the Duolingo sentences are downright hilarious too, there's actually a whole Twitter account for them.

Tännää kuskailin sukkuu ja käin pesemäs yhe mato mikä otti suvuvanhinta pahast päähä kahvitahroinee. Jotakii sille tahrale ainakii tapahtu, ko kuivamaa levittäis en ennää iha varmaks osant sannoo mis se ol. Toivottavast haaltuu auringos loputkii pois. Today I was acting chauffeur for Grandma and washed a rug for her, she was annoyed with its coffee stain. Hopefully my hard rubbing got rid of it. She gave me some surplus carrots and since there's a strong link in my brain that says "carrots - cake" that's what I made with them. And again, as an eco hippie type, I made pizza too because I don't heat the oven for just one thing.
