Otetaa evästä - Bring your lunch

Elikkäs evväät. Tuos enne töihe alkuu mie tutkailin juttuloi ko pit keksii mitä tekis töihe ruuaks, ja käin keskustelluu kamusein pity-partyn kans - heil siel Amerikoisha lapset ottaat kotont evväät kouluu, nii jot reseptilöitä ol tarjol erimoisii siit mitä hää pakkailoo pojale mukkaa. Lehtikaalii alkaa nyt tulla kasvimaalt ja niiolle tungen sitä ihamihivaa.

Lunch. Before I started working I surfed the interwebz, discussed lunches with my pity-party friend (as over there kids bring their own lunches unlike in Finland where a meal is served to them at school) who had a lot of suggestions. In the end, the most appealing idea to me was wraps. And I'm really sorry for making a gigantic mistake here for calling them wraps as I'm skipping the googling on what was a burrito which a wrap or a fajita or enchilada - just calling them wraps here, okay. Sorry!

So I made this filling with Turkish yoghurt, spices, garlic, shredded kale, chopped bell pepper and onion and olives and mixed in some store-bought ready-made chopped smoked meat. It's sold in little plastic bags for 1,59 euros a piece except when they're in -30% sale when they are approaching the expiry date - whenever I get that lucky I buy the lot and freeze it. So far the garden has not been a cornucopia this year but it seems the kale crop will be plentiful and therefore it ends up in everything.




Tortilla, hot salsa, täyte. Kääritää rullale ja sen jälkee voipaperii.

Pussitettaa. Kaks on hyvä määrä lounaale. Sit pussit pakkasee ja otetaa sielt, ko tarvitaa. Mitä lounaihe kulettamisee tulee, miul on viritys tulos siihe, peräst kuuluu.

Bag 'em. Two is just enough for a working lunch. Then put the bags in the freezer to be snatched along when needed. As for how to transport your lunches - I have a thing going, will report later.



Tänä viikonloppun miul ol iha hirvittävä lisähomma, hyi yäk, käin hoitamas tälläsii hirvityksii. Ihakamalaa! Täs on toine, toine touhus omiaa jossakii. Käin eile, tännää ja käyn viel huomenkii. Välist käyn morjestamas heitä iha muutekii, ko, noh, kahtokaa nyt!

This weekend I had a terrible additional thing, yuch, I promised to visit this and its sister to feed them and clean the litter box. Horrible!! I visited them yesterday and today and will go again tomorrow. (Actually I visit them occasionally even when the owner is at home, because, well duh. look at that beauty!)
