Tää kaver on kuustoist vee. Se on asunt kaupungis ja maal ja istunt autos tuhansii kilometrilöi. Nykysii se viettää seniorpäivii tääl maaseuvul, männä vippasoo vähä vinos ja köpöttämäl, mut syöp, pessöö, käyp ulkon. This dude is 16 years old. He's lived in the city and in the country and ridden in a car for thousands of kilometres. Now he's retired and spends his senior days here in the country. He walks stiffly and slightly curved, but he eats, washes himself and goes outside regularly. Every autumn we ask him if he thinks we should dig a hole for him before the soil freezes but he never pays any attention. I made a pain killer test and it seems he doesn't have pain, since he walks just the same with or without the medicine. So he can keep on going till he drops, and maybe it's wise to dig the hole anyway - just in case. (We once had one cat body in the freezer till spring, you see). Also in related news, it snowed (well, sleet mostly) this morning for a few minutes.

While waiting for the next trip to the store to get more black yarn, I started this shell shawl. It's nice to crochet for a change. A lot of bloggers have made this and the pattern is in Ravelry for free. Then today I asked around in facebook if anyone would like to have this for free and a friend of mine would, so this will warm her shoulders soon. I like to give hand made stuff away rather than sell them, the decent price for the hours would be too high, and then again if you sell something for what the yarn cost, you're stealing the bread of someone who does this for a living.
